Dr. Sanjeev Sockalingam, who leads large academic departments at the University of Toronto and an Academic Health Science Centre in delivering education to over 50,000 healthcare providers. He has worked with Obesity Canada and now with GoLearn on integrating his research on healthcare professional education evaluation outcomes to determine effectiveness and implementation.

Examples include leading the evaluation framework for Project ECHO, a global learning community, through a seminal publication, leading the development of the internationally utilized Health Equity and Inclusion Framework for Education and Training, evaluation approaches for education programs co-produced with people with lived experience, and use of AI and natural language processing to optimize evaluation outcomes.

This expertise and education science in evaluation will be integrated into Go Learn’s evaluation plans.

Nicole Pearce is a distinguished leader in the field of obesity education, with an extensive background spanning over seven years at Obesity Canada. Nicole’s passion for the field is evident in her commitment to bridging gaps between experts, associations, and stakeholders, creating a collaborative environment that fosters innovative solutions and advances the understanding of obesity as a chronic disease.

Her expertise in education is not just limited to program development; she has also played a key role in integrating scientific research with practical applications, ensuring that the knowledge disseminated is both accessible and actionable.

Aaron Noga has extensive experience in strategic leadership and finance. As a former partner at Deloitte LLP, Aaron was responsible for serving the complex needs of high growth clients, many with global operations, with a focus on innovation and creating success for entities through solution oriented operation planning and strategy development.

He has developed high performing executive teams that foster collaboration and drive success outcomes. He has also worked with/served as a director and finance committee chair a number of for profit and not for profit entities and has a passion for giving back to the community.

Chris Plummer brings extensive experience in the internet development industry, having worked in the field since 1996. Over the years, he has played a pivotal role in the specification and development of multiple Learning Management Systems (LMS), demonstrating a deep understanding of both technical and educational frameworks.

Chris’s contributions include the design and implementation of LMS platforms for prominent organizations such as Obesity Canada, encompassing systems like Calibre, CBE, and the bespoke LMS for the Advanced Obesity Counselling Certification. His expertise also extends to the development of online platforms for associations such as The European Association for the Study of Obesity, The Royal College of Midwives’ FGM Network Initiative, Birthrate Plus, and the original SCOPE platform for IASO, now operating under the World Obesity Federation.
